Asst. Prof. Mert Yildirim, presented his study investigating the mechanical performance of natural fiber/glass fiber reinforced hybrid composites as an oral presentation at the ICENSTED 2026 Conference. The research revealed the decisive effect of fiber stacking order on tensile and flexural properties, yielding significant findings that will contribute to the development of sustainable and high-performance composite materials.
A study titled "An Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process Approach for Selection of Renewable Energy Source," co-authored by Prof. Dr. Tarık Çakar, has been published. In this research, solar, wind, biomass, and hybrid energy alternatives were evaluated using a multi-criteria decision-making approach with the Interval Type-2 Fuzzy AHP method; as a result, hybrid energy was determined to be the most suitable renewable energy source. The study aims to contribute to more reliable decision-making processes in sustainable energy investments.
